Casa dos Hospitalários

Surrounded by the countryside of Beira Baixa, this restored 17th-century pilgrim hospital features a swimming pool overlooking Alvaro’s mountain ranges and the river. The property once belonged to the Order of Malta and gave assistance to pilgrims heading to Santiago de Compostela. The air-conditioned rooms at Casa dos Hospitalarios come with a TV and have either private or shared bathroom facilities. Some rooms have a colorful décor and a hydromassage shower. A breakfast buffet is served daily in Hospitalarios’ dining room, which has an exposed stone wall and a historic sink showing religious aspects related with Order of Malta.
